Shakti Hormann New Wooden Doors Plant Begins Production in Jaipur

Hyderabad headquartered, three decades old, Shakti Hörmann, a frontrunner in the interior and exterior commercial, industrial, and residential door industry, announced today that it has commissioned its 20 acres, 250,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Mahindra World City, Jaipur, with an investment of over ₹175 crores.

The first phase of operations with a dedicated line for manufacturing a new range of engineered wooden doors has already begun this April and the second phase is expected to begin in the month of October 2024. The plant employs 150 direct and 300 indirect personnel, duly trained in both local and German facilities for the efficient operation of advanced machinery.

In Phase 2, production lines for a range of hollow metal doors followed by aluminium doors will be established. Together these will meet the demand from residential properties, industrial, commercial, public buildings, institutions, hotels, hospitals, and airports.

While our primary focus remains on serving the domestic market, we are exploring export opportunities to nearby countries, including those in the Middle East.”

Currently, the Shakti Hörmann plant located in Gagillapur, Hyderabad manufactures over 200,000 custom-made doors, door frames, and over 10,000 industrial doors per annum, catering to industrial, commercial, public buildings, institutions, hospitals, and airports.

The residential door price ranges from ₹10,000 to ₹2.5 lakhs. While the commercial door ranges from ₹15,000 to ₹6 lakhs, the industrial door ranges from ₹60,000 to ₹3 lakhs, and perimeter protection from ₹2.5 lakhs to ₹10 lakhs. Currently, the company sells over 110,000 doors per annum, with a revenue of INR 2,700 million.

According to available market research estimates, the interior and exterior door market in India, that includes smart doors, biometric authentication system doors, energy efficient doors and customisable doors was valued over $10 billion in 2021 and is projected to reach more than $16 billion at a CAGR of 4.2% during the forecast period of 2021-2031.
