Hyderabad, India, December 4, 2025: For the first time in Hyderabad, Crraft Of Art will host the Golconda Fort Festival at Hyderabad’s iconic Golconda Fort on December 12, 2025. The event celebrates 16 years of Crraft Of Art’s work uniting music, light, and heritage at India’s monuments, with support from the Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana.
The festival begins with Telangana folk performances across the fort from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, bringing traditional dances and storytelling to life among the historic walls. The evening continues with a concert at the Rani Mahal, titled “Drums of India” where music and performance fill the fort, creating a unique dialogue between sound, history, and space. Entry to the festival is free with prior registration.
“We have spent years finding ways to bridge the gap between tradition and the present, and there’s no better place to do this than Golconda Fort, where history pulses through the stones and echoes in every corner,” said Birwa Qureshi, Founder of Crraft Of Art. “This festival is our tribute to the fort’s legacy, and we are thrilled to introduce it as a space where music, art, and history converge. It will be a confluence of music, heritage, and community, an immersive experience for audiences of all ages. ”
The “Drums of India” performance brings together a distinguished lineup led by Ustad Fazal Qureshi, joined by Vijay Prakash (vocalist), Dilshad Khan (sarangi), Sridar Parthasarathy (mridangam), Uma Shankar (ghatam), Gino Banks (drums), and a host of other celebrated artists bringing a range of Indian classical and contemporary music to the historic venue, resonating within the fort’s unique acoustics.
Ustad Fazal Qureshi, who leads the musical evening at the Golconda Fort Festival, noted, “Performing at Golconda Fort feels like an invitation to connect with history on a deeper level. The acoustics and atmosphere of this place are unlike any other, and I look forward to sharing this special moment with the audience.”
Highlights include live performances of Gussadi Dance, Kommu Koya Dance, Oggu Katha, Burra Katha, Bonalu Dance, and Perini Shivathandavam. Special presentations by Purulia Chhau artists will further enrich the cultural experience, blending regional dance with the epic scale of the fort’s surroundings.
