November 10, 2025: Saturday night in Hyderabad was pure musical electricity. AR Rahman’s second concert in the city, held at Ramoji Film City, drew a crowd unlike anything seen before. Thousands upon thousands of fans packed the venue, buzzing with excitement and chanting for the music legend as he took the stage in his signature jacket and glasses, rising dramatically from below to a **roaring welcome**.

Presented by Hyderabad Talkies, EVA Live, and Xora Events, the night was a powerful reminder of how music brings everyone together. Rahman himself spoke about this unity, calling his show a “concert that has the soul of national integration.”

The music maestro gave the audience exactly what they craved, launching into a setlist that sent them into a frenzy right away. It wasn’t just a simple rundown of hits, though. Rahman took them on an emotional journey, playing iconic songs like Rang De Basanti, Dil Se Re, Mustafa Mustafa, and the worldwide anthem, Jai Ho, creating a musical story rather than just following a calendar.

The surprises kept coming. A new Punjabi bhangra track, never played live before, got everyone dancing, especially with a brilliant Columbian drummer turning the beat up high. Then, he slowed things down with the romantic favourite Hossana from Ye Maaya Chesave, playfully asking the audience, “Ladies, are you feeling the romance? Wanna sing with me?”

AR Rahman made sure to honour the music of the region to a thunderous applause. “Telugu is where my musical journey began”, he shared, recalling his early days in studios alongside legends like Ilayaraja. “To see Telugu cinema evolve and gain global recognition with films like Baahubali and RRR, it’s incredible. Nattu Nattu winning an Oscar is a proud moment for all of us.” He stressed that the area holds a deep, rich musical history.

Adding a celebrity flash to the evening, actors Ram Charan (making his first-ever appearance at a live gig) and Janhvi Kapoor stepped onto the stage. They cheered the unveiling of their upcoming movie song, “Chikri Chikri,” from their film *Peddi*, which Rahman composed. The song even featured Rahman’s son, Ameen, who left the audience captivated with his voice.

“Seeing AR Rahman light up Ramoji Film City and unite a wave of music lovers was a proud moment for Hyderabad. It was a celebration of our culture, our cinema, and our spirit,” said Sainath Goud Malkapuram, Founder of Hyderabad Talkies.

With amazing vocalists like Shweta Mohan and Ameen joining in, the music soared and the crowd stayed put well past midnight. The night was more than just a performance; it was a festival of culture, togetherness, and the enduring power of AR Rahman’s music.
